For the last five years William Turner has been working as a lecturer for the School for Policy Studies at Bristol University, UK with substantial teaching commitments at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His teaching draws on two different areas of expertise and interest: (a) quantitative research methodology with particular emphasis on research synthesis in particular Cochrane and Campbell systematic reviews, and (b) applicability of and evidence for effectiveness for a range of psychotherapeutic interventions.
His commitment to the utilization of best evidence in informing practice is demonstrated through his extensive engagement with the workings of the Cochrane and Campbell Collaborations; he is the editor of the Social Welfare Group of the Campbell Collaboration and serves as an associate editor of the Cochrane Developmental, Psychosocial, and Learning Problems Group. He serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Family Therapy.
Light refreshments will be served!
